Last fall, my wedding season ended with Heather and Patrick’s wedding and boy, …. I’ve been looking forward to this wedding, and for many reasons I know it’s the one I’ll never forget.
Despite a rain-filled forecast in the week leading up to Saturday, they were joyful and optimistic. The best part? Just before the ceremony, the sun peeked out and gave us the beautiful fall light and atmosphere that we’ve know and love. Throughout each part of the day, one thing was so apparent: their overflowing love for each other, and their family and friends, too. Their vows and exchanging of rings had everyone sniffling in the crowd. And the moment Patrick saw his bride for the first time. He was overcome with emotion in a way I rarely see. It was so powerful that it brought me to tears behind the camera, too.
Heather and Patrick, I certainly won’t forget your beautiful wedding day. But you know what I’ll remember most and not just not forget? The fun you had from start to finish, and the kindness you showed me and everyone around you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for trusting me with documenting one of the most important days of your life. It was an honor and a privilege. I wish you nothing but the best that marriage has to offer.
